Research studies have show that nature-based learning produces more resilient children, mentally healthier adults, and more evenly accessible sensory education to children of wide ranging needs.
If it is lightning, raining so hard visibility is affected, below freezing or nearing 100 degrees we will transition to our indoor classroom. Otherwise, we expect our students to be dressed for a wide range of weather conditions. Each student should have weather appropriate gear such as rainboots, a raincoat, hats, mittens, snow boots, etc.
Gan Teva is open to all students, regardless of religious affiliation. We follow the Jewish Calendar (in conjunction with the Prince William County Schools calendar), teach about Jewish holidays and our Core Values reflect Jewish values. Congregation Ner Shalom's Rabbi is Gan Teva's Director of Judaic Instruction.
Gan Teva welcomes students ages 3-5. We follow the Prince William County Schools age requirements, meaning your student must be at least 3 years by September 30 to enroll.

Yes, we offer a 5-day per week , 3-day (MWF) per week, or 2-day (TTh) per week option. If you have a special schedule request, please reach out! We may be able to accommodate on a case-by-case basis.
We are licensed as a Religiously Exempt Child Day Center through the State of Virginia.
Gan Teva is housed at Congregation Ner Shalom in Woodbridge, VA. Ner Shalom graciously offered their 10 acre grounds and indoor space for our program.
